Operation Hometown Heroes

Supporting the Families of Deployed Soldiers

The Leadership Menomonee Falls Class of 2011 would like to present our community project bringing awareness to the stress and worry families of deployed heroes go through while their loved ones in the military are serving overseas in the Iraq & Afghanistan War.

We are looking for families in the Menomonee Falls area that have a mother, father, son or daughter deployed in the military to Iraq and Afghanistan leaving their families at home coping with separation, sadness, financial difficulties and helplessness. There is such a strong emotional impact on the families left behind while members of their family serve their country.

To nominate or apply to be one of these families that would like to receive assistance, please contact us or go to our website for more information.

In order to make this a truly successful project, we are looking for donations such as movie tickets, gift certificates or even a financial donation from businesses and people who would like to show their support to these families in need.

The Leadership Menomonee Falls group project members will then in March of 2011 present these families with the donations. Anything you could donate would be very helpful and greatly appreciated.

Donated items can be dropped off at Davians Corporate Office (16300 West Silver Spring Drive, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051) Attention Mike Lewis. If you need assistance, we can arrange to pick up your donations.

Checks can be made out to: Hometown Heroes and mailed to:
PO Box 1054
Attn. Hometown Heroes
Menomonee Falls, WI 53052

Please help us to make this a worthwhile event to offer to the families of the military who are struggling while their loved ones serve our country. They give all so please give a little. Freedom isn’t free!
